Jean Hamilton is the kind of person we need on the County Commissioners. She is an experienced professional with background in economics as well as mindfulness and interpersonal relations. She has served effectively on the Chapel Hill/Carrboro School Board and so understands the complexities of allocating public funds. She is a deep thinker and problem solver. Jean will work hard to make sure our county’s services work for everyone. I am delighted that Jean is running for this important office.

I can highly recommend Jean Hamilton as a candidate who will help the future of both young and older residents in our county and make a positive difference in the lives of many. The ability to listen and collaborate with others is one of her strengths. Through her work as a social worker, she truly understands the problems the residents of Orange County face and can find solutions through working with others. Her knowledge as an economics PhD will also guide how to accomplish these solutions in a fiscally responsible way.
